Love Island scores

Love Island scores big with 2018’s new King and Queen.

The latest rendition of ITV’s Love Island scores big on record number of viewers. An average of 3 million viewers tune in to the show. Something that will upset one of their biggest haters, Piers Morgan.

Love Island ScoresLove Island scores yet again with a brand new King and Queen of the 2018 reality TV show. And the winners are …. Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer. No surprise there, they were tipped to bag the £50k prize pot and didn’t disappoint. #loveislandwinners2018

But, was it all fake?

Possibly, maybe, definitely! But do we care? NO. There were some prize winning moments and discussions that got all al hot and bothered, including contestants who had never heard of Brexit!! Yeh right, and the never ending debate about body shape diversity. Oh and who could forget the awesome “Lie detector” tests.

Piers Morgan thinks so, and so do some of the viewers, they even started to cry foul at the producers for manipulating the show. Situations that are bound to happen in a place packed full of self-absorbed kids are being twisted to suit ratings. And that’s exactly what we loved.

Ofcom have registered 4178 complaints and are looking into the fact that the “reality” show has been manipulated at the expense of relationships to boost viewing ratings. Not that many were under the illusion that Love Island was anything like reality.

That said, Love Island scores big on popularity, viewers and media outlets alike and we love it, though we still prefer Bingo, it’s a little less predictable. Same time next year?
