Every year Red Nose Day put on a show that is every bit as good as the year before and in each case a staggering new total has been raised to help the needy. This years’ fabulous total is a staggering £75,107,851 and climbing. Just when you thought that this year might suffer due to the economy, we the British public stepped up yet again and done the impossible. What a fantastic achievement from all who helped.
If the rest of the world could do what we do every year then the world would be in a better place. The entertainment factor from Red Nose Day alone was brilliant with all of the stars helping and supporting something special. Fridays TV was a triumph to all who created, produced and took part in it.
The Comic Relief crew do it every year and every year there’s something different and special about the show and the lead up to it. Now, most schools around the country get involved and the massive following has chipped in once again to make it a bumper year.
Since the start of Comic Relief and the Red Nose Day back in 1988, this spectacular charity event has raised well over £680,000,000 with this years £75 million and 2011’s £104 million topping the leader board.
What is astonishing is that even though this year has been a tough one for most of us the giving just never stops. All those that took part take a bow because you have truly done something special. Well done everyone who done something funny for money.
